On our first full day at NY, me and my friends decided to walk along Fifth Avenue and look at all the luxury and flagship stores. Also went to Central Grand Station, Rockefeller Centre, NY Public Library, St. Patricks Cathedral and then walked the High Line to Chelsea Market.
Walking along Fifth Avenue
Saks Fifth Avenue
Visual Merchandising/Retail research: I loved walking alongside Fifth Avenue and seeing all the stunning visual merchandising and store interiors that are only in New York!
Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci
Tiffany & Co – this was one of my favourites. One of the most recognisable brand identity and colour!
Sephora – I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and so me and my friends went in and took a look around. There was a brand makeup collection just about the 2 Pantone colours of the year (which I blogged about a month ago I think).
Station Terminal – one of the sights that was on my list. I’m so happy I finally got to see it.
New York Public Library
Got some free really cute postcards!
St. Patricks Cathedral
The High Line – probably wasn’t the best time to go when it was lightly raining and it was freezing cold, but we ended up finishing and stopped at Chelsea Market. It would be amazing to go back in the summer.
Chelsea Market – we ate at Chelsea Creamline and had a look around the tiny shops.
And after that, we had to walk from Chelsea all the way back to our hotel in Manhattan. Look out for my other upcoming NY posts!
